The Senior Vice President, Information Technology is a key member of the executive management team and is responsible for identifying, planning, directing, and managing the ongoing needs of Rumpke's information systems and processes. This role develops the company's multi-year strategies in business applications, security, infrastructure, systems management, and related technologies. Additionally, this position develops strategies and aligns resources to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions across a variety of technologies including data and analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Senior Vice President of Information Technology collaborates with stakeholders across the business to create alignment around Rumpke's technology strategy and ensures excellence in the execution of the strategy and the daily needs of the business.

Responsibilities of Position:

Develop and execute the organization's information systems strategy to support business objectives and drive innovation. Collaborate with executive management to identify technology needs, evaluate options, and make informed decisions regarding system enhancements, upgrades, and replacements. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud technologies. Direct and manage the IT/IS function to ensure that in-house systems, programs, networking, installations, and operations support the business's goals and objectives. Direct the data processing functions to ensure development and delivery of quality information processing services for internal users and members. Work with the CEO and/or the CFO in setting short- and long-term technology plans that promote growth and enhance services to members. Research industry trends in technology to ensure Rumpke remains competitive in its product and service offerings. Keep abreast of changing trends in technology to include hardware, networks and network tools, software and systems. Evaluate and/or design new systems, applications, networks, or other technology tools that support growth, enhance services, and provide efficient processes for employees. Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's information systems, including the implementation of appropriate data protection measures and disaster recovery plans. Responsible for maintaining and developing security protocols for company databases and networks. Direct the upgrade and maintenance of all computer hardware, software, systems tools, and peripherals such as printers, scanners and other external devices. Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Prepare, implement, and supervise the IT department budget that is consistent with the overall strategic plan of the organization. Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the department.

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in vendor management and contract negotiation. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:

Certifications in IT project management, cybersecurity, or other relevant areas are highly desirable. 10 years' experience managing and/or directing an IT operation, including experience in strategic planning and execution with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business goals. In-depth knowledge of information systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and best practices. Broad knowledge of various IT disciplines, including infrastructure, security, data management, and application development. Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex technology projects. Experience in ERP system implementation.

Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:

Occasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10lbs. Frequently sitting/standing/walking in office environment.

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

Ability to travel between offices, as required. Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed. Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Valid driver's license (if applicable). Must successfully complete pre-employment testing. Must be able to read and speak the English language.
