The Director, Program Management is responsible for leading the WDB Program and Portfolio in Hillsboro, OR, United States. This position drives product development for the Semiconductor industry, integration of automation processes on the products, execution of joint evaluation programs with strategic customers, and maintenance of released products including support of Factory and Field, all in close collaboration with internal functions as well as business partners within the Semiconductor Business Unit. A Day in the Life Lead a group of program execution managers, helping with their onboarding and training. Plan and manage multiple programs/projects with cross-functional challenges. Drive the definition, development, delivery, and deployment of capital equipment hardware/software product/solutions for the semiconductor labs and fabs according to our development process, schedule, and budget. Conduct detailed schedule analysis of critical paths to identify key technical and schedule risks and establish mitigation activities. Establish a common understanding among teams on program differentiation for our customers. Assess project/program performance and institute corrective actions as needed. Manage project budgets, overview actuals versus plan, and resolve issues as they arise. Interact with peers, functional groups, and customers; build and present reports and project status updates to BU and DLT levels on a routine basis. Foster a culture of involvement, ownership, and accountability within the organization. Partner with Product Marketing and management to develop long-term strategic plans to increase and improve business opportunities. Collect and analyze program data to highlight resource supply and demand across the portfolio. Lead and advise on the day-to-day aspects, timely delivery, and risk management of programs. Act as project champion and project “general manager”; develop teams to complete all project results. Key to Success Education BS in Physics, Engineering, Project Management, or related field is required; MS or Ph.D. highly desired. Experience 10+ years of proven experience in leading development programs from concept through commercialization. Experience in leading and developing teams, coaching, and mentoring. Experience in developing sophisticated semiconductor capital equipment, including software features and capabilities. Experience using standard program management tools and software. Experience implementing Critical Chain methodology in development projects. Experience with Agile, SAFe development methods for hardware is beneficial. Semiconductor fab experience is a benefit. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong leadership skills and willingness to take ownership of issues and tasks. Proven record of building consensus among key players and resolving conflicting requirements. Ability to lead, prioritize, and optimize multiple projects simultaneously. Outstanding organizational, planning, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
