The Senior Enterprise Architect is responsible for guiding the design, development, and management of enterprise architecture strategies and frameworks. This role ensures alignment between business processes, IT infrastructure, and organizational goals. The ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in architecture methodologies to support decision-making, compliance, and strategic initiatives across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Repository Management:
Manage the centralized Enterprise Architecture (EA) repository, ensuring proper user access control, versioning, and archiving of architecture products. Oversee the migration of architecture artifacts from development to production environments.
Architecture Development & Maintenance:
Create and update enterprise architecture artifacts, including models for organizational activities, IT infrastructure, and business processes. Develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts to support Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages. Maintain and refine Business Process Modeling (BPM) documentation to optimize internal processes and procedures.
Compliance & Review:
Ensure architecture models comply with established standards, conventions, and frameworks. Coordinate Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) compliance submissions, facilitating resolution of issues for annual funding certifications. Conduct annual reviews of EA repositories and update diagrams as needed in collaboration with process owners.
Strategic Roadmapping:
Develop and maintain Portfolio capability roadmaps highlighting major delivery efforts and their impacts on the enterprise. Align architecture initiatives with organizational strategy, policies, and IT plans.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize critical business functions. Participate in EA-related working groups, forums, and the EA Configuration Control Board (EACCB) to remain informed on evolving policies and practices.
Platform & Toolset Support:
Support platforms such as the Talent Management Integration Suite (TMIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Talent Management Data Environment (TMDE). Document the implementation and impact of new systems or interfaces on current and target architectures.
Minimum Requirements
7 years of experience applying management skills and specialized functional and technical expertise to support complex projects applying the organizing principles, methods and tools of enterprise architecture. Strong expertise in enterprise architecture methodologies, business process alignment, and IT strategy development. Proficient in managing architecture tools and frameworks, ensuring compliance with standards. Demonstrated ability to interface with senior leadership to develop and implement organizational strategies. Security Clearance:
Active Secret (S) clearance required.
