Strong attention to detail along with consistent exercise of discretion, independent judgment and initiative required.

Key Responsibilities:

Run backup and start up in FoodPro/ B-Trees

Enter Sales into FoodPro for Catering

Run required reports including Local Cost Summaries (“LCS”), Inventory Analysis, Pre-cost, post-cost, transfer detail analysis and post on shared drive

Enter China and uniform inventory when provided by HUDS and send monthly report to Finance.

Assist FoodPro users with questions and update FoodPro user access when needed.

Assist in pulling FoodPro orders daily.

Update ingredients and allergies as needed.in FoodPro and make recipe updates as requested.

Make menu changes in FoodPro and the “Core” menu as requested and perform menu maintenance and recipe maintenance for special events and during menu building.

Update items in FP for POS Agilysys as requested.

Update Retail and Residential Chef’s Station Recipes as requested (typically weekly)

Maintain the FoodPro database (i.e. removing unused/discontinued items, ingredient replacements, group set up, etc.) Including product changes provided by suppliers weekly.

Update pricing for retail locations and update the FoodPro “calendars” and assist with pricing problems, invoice entry errors as requested by the AP Team

Review nutritional information as needed.

Support Commencement activities.

General support for Business Application Manager

Answer Procurement phone line and emails.

Assist buyer(s) in sourcing new products among existing suppliers/distributors.

Set up new items inventory items in Food Pro and add items to HUDS campus locations order guides.

Attend internal professional development seminars and trainings.

Attend supplier meetings as necessary.

The Business Application Specialist, reporting to the Manger of Procurement, is part of the Procurement team which supports all of the Harvard University Dining Services (HUDS) dining and hospitality operations, Food/Pro/menus management, POS support and supplier relationship. This role is divided equally between supporting day-to-day procurement functions and supporting Food Pro activities. The Business Application specialist position is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
