Feb 01, 2025 Profile A reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their expanding team, primarily focusing on Personal Injury and Real Estate law. The position will involve working within the firm’s busy Personal Injury Department, managing a caseload from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff. This is a full-time, hybrid position offering competitive compensation and benefits. Location Brockton, MA Duties Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception to resolution. Interact with clients, providing case updates and answering inquiries. Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law. Prepare and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements. Manage the discovery process, including document production and depositions. Negotiate settlements with opposing parties, insurance companies, and defense attorneys. Represent clients in court proceedings such as hearings, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Analyze case strengths and weaknesses, developing effective legal strategies. Conduct case evaluations to assess the likelihood of success and potential risks. Utilize case management software to track case status and manage documents. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Admitted and licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and in good standing. 1-3 years of experience handling automobile accident and/or personal injury cases. Strong research and writing skills with excellent academic credentials. Ability to interact with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, case management software, and Adobe Acrobat. Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. Skills Legal research and writing. Case management and client communication. Strong negotiation and settlement skills. Courtroom experience, including motions, hearings, and trials.
