Job Description:
Morris Plaza Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team. We are looking for a professional who can dispense medications accurately, provide excellent pharmaceutical care, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.
Patient Counseling: Provide detailed counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
Controlled Substances Management: Maintain accurate records and manage controlled substances responsibly.
Staff Training: Oversee and train pharmacy staff to ensure adherence to best practices.
Collaborative Care: Work with healthcare providers to manage and improve patient care.
Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock.
Insurance Processing: Handle insurance claims processing and reimbursement efficiently.
Customer Service: Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns professionally.
Job Requirements:
Must Have: A valid state required pharmacist license
Must Have: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
Proficiency with pharmacy management software systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
Experience with inventory management and cost-saving measures.
Proven track record of effectively managing a pharmacy team.
