Position Summary Responsible for assisting in liquidating collateral on defaulted loans of all types. This includes Small Business Administration paperwork relating to the timely liquidation of non-performing loans. The incumbent must be able to know and keep to various timelines for filings determined by the Bank, Court and/or SBA. The ability to work independently, be detail oriented, and acquire new knowledge as needed is required.

Essential Functions

Track and meet timeline for foreclosure and SBA filings

Organize documents for use in guaranty repurchase

Prepare documents for SBA wrap-ups packages

Create and monitor SBA litigation plans

Coordinate and monitor legal statuses and budgets

Track and apply legal expenses to loans

Review balances for legal documents such as forbearance agreements and cure letters

Coordinate implementation of forbearance and other legal agreements

Preserve all loan documentation and ensure loan file accurately reflects the approved loan terms and protects the SBA Guaranty

Maintain a strong working knowledge of the SBA SOP, required forms, and Application documents

Keep current knowledge and consistent compliance with all Bank regulations, policies and procedures related to the position

Review assigned loan files and determine the information required for filing

Conducts frequent troubleshooting of moderate to complex issues that require evaluation, originality, and critical thinking to apply the appropriate procedures, processes and techniques

Assist management in defining and implementing policies and procedures

Additional Functions

Support Loan Servicing as needed

Support In-House Council as needed

Education and Experience

BS or BA degree preferred

3+ years banking, consumer, commercial, SBA and residential liquidation experience

SBA SOPs knowledge

Licenses and Certifications

N/A

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of NJ, NY, and PA foreclosure litigation

Knowledge of SBA SOP 50.57 Servicing and Liquidation

Excellent time management

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, governmental regulations, and professional publications

Excellent MS Suite skills

Strict attention to details and thoroughness in the completion of job duties

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for long periods of time up to 75% of work hours.

Ability to use hands to grasp, handle or feel.

Ability to use computer keyboard and system to enter data and process information.

Ability to talk, listen and see.

Ability to use telephone to communicate with customers and employees.

Ability to use office equipment such as teller scanner, personal computer, telephone, copier, fax machine, adding machine etc.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. at least 25% of work hours.

Working Conditions

Moderate sound as in business office with office machines, computers, and people traffic.
