The Director of Athletics Communications reports to the Deputy Director of Athletics. This position oversees all aspects of sports information including media relations and publications while assisting with game operations and management of statistical data and social media channels. This position will manage the scores table for all home athletic contests including timers, official scorers, and statisticians. Additionally, this position will assist in the creation of new media marketing, digital media advertising, fundraising strategies, promotions, and sponsorship development and fulfillment for MSU Denver Athletics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Record-keeping and distribution of statistical information to local media outlets, NCAA statistical services, conference and visiting teams. Oversee athletics media relations including managing relationships with media outlets and developing strategies to connect with both internal and external constituencies. Create dynamic and engaging materials including press releases, media guides, game programs, and schedule cards. Develop content for and oversee the maintenance of RoadrunnersAthletics.com, the official website of MSU Denver Athletics. Oversee aspects of game operations and game management including press row operations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. One year of experience in collegiate sports information. Experience and working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Must possess organizational skills along with the ability to work under deadlines. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in journalism, communications, sport management, or related field. Experience using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premier, InDesign, etc.). Important Note:

Salary for Announcement: Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $50,000-$58,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
