Senior Electrical Substation Engineer (Beaverton, OR)

Elcon Associates, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical engineer to work out of our Beaverton, OR office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise and prepare design and provide guidance in developing of the following substation outdoor drawings: General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views (Elevations), Detailed Bills of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plans, Grounding Plans, Conduits, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details, Underground Conduit/Raceway Plans, and Control Building Equipment & Cable Tray Layout.
Supervise and provide design or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables including one & three-line diagrams; relaying and metering; AC/DC schematics; control and relaying panel layouts and equipment wiring diagrams; auxiliary system design including batteries and chargers, AC & DC load centers, conduit, and cable sizing.
Lead technical discussion with customers or peers explaining the issue/problem as well as the decision process behind the solution.
Provide oversight/guidance to junior engineers.
Possess social and communication skills necessary to integrate into a team, as well as effectively communicate with peers and customers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
10+ years of related experience
PE licensure preferred
