MAINSAIL Group is in search of a Network Services Engineer located at Hanscom AFB, in Bedford, Massachusetts. This position supports the United States Air Force and the Base Information Transport Infrastructure Program and hybrid reporting of one day a week on Hanscom AFB.
Responsibilities Include
:
Support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats.
Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:
Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
Analyzing network workload.
Monitoring network capacity and performance.
Diagnosing and resolving network problems.
Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.
Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements :
3+ years experience in a network engineering position.
Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
Must be able to use/configure/troubleshoot/operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and/or HP network devices.
Must be a US citizen
Active Secret Clearance
