Application Administrator Senior

As part of the Data Management team, responsible for the technical configuration and administration of system, utility, database, and application software technology used within the IT organization. Maintain overall system environment including monitoring and tuning of performance and capacity. Create and maintains documents and diagrams depicting system architecture, processes, and related IT functions. Provide support and troubleshooting on assigned software systems and their integration into infrastructure environments. Responsible for the development of architectures, policies, practices, and procedures to manage the data lifecycle at Geisinger. Administer the suite of Informatica tools including Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, MDM, Axon, and EDC. Install, configure, and administer software modules. Work with different teams to support necessary applications and OS patches while reducing potential extended outages. Build in additional layers of functionality and workflows to support use of tools and required adherence of external auditing requirements. Identify, recommend, and implement ETL process and architecture improvements. Schedule and implement required software patches and upgrades. Assist with code reviews and design creation for ongoing projects and new projects. Establish migration/update procedures and implements migration/upgrades at the system and application level. Assist with disaster recovery preparedness and testing applicable technology. Participate in 24x7 on-call schedule, including holidays, weekends, off-hours. Position allows for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus 3 years of relevant experience in application administration; and 2 years of experience using suite of Informatica tools including Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, MDM, Axon, and EDC. Experience can be gained before, during, or after obtaining Master's degree.

In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus 2 additional years in the skills outlined above.
