The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities: • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents • Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Provide essential case management, including scheduling attorney appearances, mediations, and client strategy meetings. • Draft, file, and organize legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence. • Support attorneys during hearings by preparing exhibits, filing motions, and coordinating witnesses. • Conduct client interviews with empathy and thoroughness to gather critical information. • Assist in maintaining a high standard of service by ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all casework. • Prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously, balancing efficiency with a focus on client care. Qualifications: • Talented communicator and writer • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • You have at least 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a preference for family law and litigation experience. • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • You bring a sense of humor and a positive, can-do attitude to the team. • You’re an empathetic professional who understands the emotional complexities of family law. • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities under pressure. • You are committed to professionalism, teamwork, and delivering exceptional client service. . Compensation: $24 - $30 per hour based on experience
