Job Description
Robbins-Gioia (RG) is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support our Business Development team in growing the company's existing presence in the federal and military Aerospace & Defense Market. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a structured government contracting business development team. They will be proficient in using Customer Resource Management (CRM) tools such as SalesForce, HubSpot, or NextStage.ai, with the ability to configure these tools, pull reports, and perform updates. This role requires familiarity with industry datasets like GovWin, GovTribe, Sam.Gov, or USASpending to gather business intelligence and reporting tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and Tableau to develop professional executive-level briefings, reports, and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities: Configure and manage Robbins-Gioia's CRM Tool, NextStage.AI, to support business development activities. Massage the data from NextStage with additional calculations and analysis in an automated fashion within industry tools like Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau Utilize industry datasets (GovWin, GovTribe, Sam.Gov, USASpending) to gather and analyze business intelligence. Understand and apply government contracting principles following the Shipley Method to foster processes and gate reviews. Triage opportunities from GovWin and create opportunity quad charts or other presentations for gate reviews. Develop kickoff slides for new opportunities or capture plan slides. Create proposal response schedules and annotated outlines based on customer Requests for Proposals (RFP). Maintain data integrity on opportunities by maintaining updates from external datasets into NextStage. Support corporate reporting to RG's owners and Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. Assist with competitive intelligence or price-to-win strategies as needed.
Required Skills
The Business Development Analyst is an exempt internally facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to the business development team to assist in prospecting leads, capturing opportunities, responding to proposal, and closing new business. This individual should have great attention to detail and experienced in the tools and processes required to facilitate data collection, tracking, and reporting. They possess excellent technical skills, strong analytical and research skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, value teamwork, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered. BA/BS Degree 5+ years of experience with data collection, visualization, and reporting Previous experience utilizing systems such as Tableau or Power BI to create data visualizations for executive management Proficiency in CRM tools (SalesForce, HubSpot, NextStage.ai) Experience with industry datasets (GovWin, GovTribe, Sam.Gov, USASpending) Familiarity with government contracting and the Shipley Method Ability to travel to RG HQ (Alexandria, VA) if required for meetings
