TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.
TRC is seeking an energetic Energy Auditor Apprentice for a 1 4 -week, paid Workforce Development program. As a n Energy Auditor Apprentice, you will learn skills related to conducting energy audits of commercial, industrial, and municipal buildings including colleges, universities, and K-12 public schools. By the end of the program, you will be familiar with how energy is used in buildings and where there are opportunities for savings.

Successful candidates for this position must reside in the state of New Jersey.
Responsibilities
On-the-Job Training includes but is not limited to:
Visually inspecting buildings and related systems including mechanical, electrical, and process systems to determine energy consumption and evaluate energy conservations measures (ECMs). Collecting data during on-site inspections to document existing systems and associated equipment using a mobile device (iPad) Preparing reports and presenting findings to program customers. Conducting utility bill, feasibility, energy savings, and cost-benefit financial analyses for potential ECMs. Providing general administrative support to projects/team Reviewing applications and associated supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy Entering data including customer information, facility characteristics, utility details, etc. Working under supervision of senior team members
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Residency in the state of New Jersey is required Valid US Driver's License with no restrictions Reliable personal transportation Ability to understand complex written and verbal technical instructions, concepts, schematics, etc. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing and walking for extended periods of time Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail Computer skills: experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Verifiable work history Reliable home internet service Ability to set up home office using company-provided equipment Have a basic knowledge of lighting and HVAC systems or energy in general Desire to learn energy efficiency concepts
Benefits: TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:
Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. 401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match. Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year). All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year. TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.
These benefits are applicable to US employees depending on their employment status (full time, part time, or temporary). TRC offers jurisdiction specific benefit packages for International and Puerto Rico employees.
Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
