Description The Head of Corporate Security Strategy is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's security strategy to ensure the protection of physical assets, personnel, and sensitive information. This role involves collaborating with VP, Global Real Estate & Facilities and Head of Technology Risk, Compliance and Chief Information and Security Officer to align security initiatives with business goals, ensuring the organization is prepared to respond to security threats, and mitigating risks across all areas of the business. The role combines strategic thinking with operational oversight and ensures the organization adheres to industry best practices in security. Key Responsibilities Strategy Development and Leadership: Develop and lead the company's corporate security strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Provide expert advice and counsel to senior leadership regarding security risks and initiatives. Monitor external environment and evolving trends to determine current threat levels to the organization, in different domains, and required mitigation. Oversee the development of security policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring they are up to date and comprehensive. Stay current with global security trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes, integrating this knowledge into the security strategy. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the organization's assets. Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to determine vulnerabilities and implement appropriate countermeasures. Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to address potential security threats and disruptions. Incident Response and Risk Management: Develop and oversee the incident response strategy, ensuring effective coordination during security breaches or other crises. Lead crisis management teams during security-related incidents, providing direction on containment and resolution strategies. Ensure the integration of physical and cybersecurity response protocols. Act as the primary point of contact during security incidents, coordinating efforts with internal teams, law enforcement, and other external agencies, ensuring timely communication and escalation. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., ZTD, HR) to ensure security strategies are integrated into all aspects of the business. Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, ensuring a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. Develop training and awareness programs to promote a strong security culture among employees. Ensure transparent communication across all levels of the organization regarding security initiatives and developments. Qualifications (Training, Education, & Prior Experience) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in law enforcement, corporate security, executive protection, or related fields, including experience in a leadership role. Extensive experience managing security operations across multiple locations. Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage complex security issues and work cross-functionally. Excellent communication skills. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to corporate security. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage internal staff and contract guard teams and external vendors. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion. Computer proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. High degree of integrity and accountability. Strong judgment and the ability to remain calm during emergency situations, take control, and effectively communicate to senior executives with clarity and professionalism. Adaptability to changing business priorities and environments. Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, executives, external partners, and law enforcement agencies. Strong attention to detail; organizational and time management skills. Physical Position Requirements Approximately 50% of time required on-site in Parsippany, NJ headquarters and approximately 50% domestic and international travel. Ability to work with global teams located in multiple time zones.
