to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world after a $400M renovation and expansion, making the resort more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (including cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, a marketplace, an ice cream shop, and in-room dining. Director of Finance , you would be responsible for overseeing, directing, and administering all financial operations of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Direct and administer all financial operations of the hotel, including asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, hotel-wide budget and forecasting, department management, and meeting participation and facilitation. Ensure compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Serve as financial advisor to hotel management and ownership. Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the hotel. Assist and counsel department heads in the interpretation and analysis of financial data, recommending courses of action to maximize hotel profitability. Prepare annual plan, projections, and budgets. Monitor and develop team member performance, including providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward. Recruit, interview, and train team members. The salary range for this role is between 225-250K and is based on applicable specialized experience and location. What are we looking for?
