DESCRIPTION
AWS Lambda (https://aws.amazon.com/lambda) is changing the way we think about computing in the cloud. Serverless computing offers customers an exciting new way to create applications, turning business logic and application code into scalable, fault-tolerant production systems without requiring them to be experts in distributed systems, deployment technologies, and infrastructure management.
In this role, you will work with the team to build the new generic platform using the latest AWS technologies. You will need to solve interesting technical challenges with creative ideas in the domain, combined with event-driven applications and Serverless technologies. You will build features for a distributed and large-scale system that will handle billions or trillions of transactions. You have opportunities to re-shape the experience of Serverless development.
Key Job Responsibilities As an SDE II in the team, you are expected to lead the design of features in new or existing systems. You will work with senior and junior members of the team to build and launch these features. You will ensure that adequate testing has been done to maintain the quality of the delivered software. You will join the on-call rotation to help solve customer issues in the production system.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
