Position Summary:
The Finance Business Partner for Operations serves as a strategic advisor, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive performance and operational efficiency. This role collaborates closely with Operations leadership, bridging the gap between finance and operational teams to enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, capable of influencing and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide detailed financial analyses to Operations leadership, including cost analysis, variance reports, and operational performance metrics.
Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor KPIs such as production efficiency, cost per unit, and inventory turnover.
Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for Operations, including manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain functions.
Collaborate with leadership to set realistic financial goals, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate risks.
Partner with Operations teams to evaluate process improvements, capacity planning, and resource allocation strategies.
Provide financial modeling for initiatives such as new equipment purchases, facility expansions, and process optimization projects.
Support supply chain optimization efforts, including cost reduction and inventory management strategies.
Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for non-financial stakeholders.
Present findings and strategic recommendations to Operations leadership and senior management.
Ensure financial practices comply with internal policies and external regulations.
Support internal audits and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls within operational processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, business partnering, or related roles, preferably in Operations or Supply Chain environments.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and tools, including Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across functions and levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
