We are seeking a highly skilled
Intellectual Property Litigation Counsel
to join one of our prestigious clients' Kansas City office. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful legal matters in a collaborative and innovative environment, with exposure to a variety of high-profile intellectual property litigation cases. About the Firm

Their national Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group represents clients across diverse industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer goods. Provide strategic legal counsel on intellectual property litigation matters from inception through resolution. Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in mediations, hearings, and trials. Collaborate with internal and external expert witnesses, technical advisors, and co-counsel to build strong cases. Draft high-quality legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda. Conduct legal research and remain current on IP litigation trends, case law, and procedural rules. Mentor and collaborate with junior associates and support staff to ensure efficient case management. Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this
Intellectual Property Litigation Counsel
role is a driven legal professional with a deep understanding of intellectual property law and litigation strategy. Key attributes of the ideal candidate include: Experience:
At least 4+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation. Federal Circuit experience and/or clerkship experience is a plus. Experience managing multiple cases simultaneously and working independently on key litigation tasks.
Credentials:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active Missouri Bar membership in good standing or eligibility for admission.
Technical Skills:
Strong litigation skills, including oral advocacy, legal research, and drafting pleadings and briefs. Proficiency in using litigation management tools such as Relativity, LexisNexis, and Westlaw. Ability to work with technical documents and experts in patent, trade secret, and trademark cases.
