We are looking to fill the HR Specialist - HR Systems position. We are seeking an individual who wants to grow with us, as we see the potential to grow this business and to progress in this role. A successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of HRIS experience, excellent communication skills, and be self-motivated. This individual will have ownership of the HRIS and provides HRIS administration and HR Reporting. The HR Specialist is the subject matter expert of all HRIS and HR reporting tasks and duties.
Responsible for HRIS System Administration, including troubleshooting. Provide direction and guidance about the system to team members. Accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.
- Create and compile a variety of HR Reports from HR systems or appropriate reporting tools per business needs
- Maintains all components of HRIS including workflows within HRIS software (KPay)
- Maintains interface with company IT department
- Liaison to HRIS vendor
- Promotes proactive approaches using the HRIS to solve business needs/problems, while enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the HRIS capabilities.
- Administer regular and ad-hoc day-to-day HR Operational/Administrative activities accurately and in accordance with established process, guidelines, forms, timelines, etc.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develops reports on HR metrics, compensation and benefit information; Prepares periodic or special reports as needed
- Process all employee and company changes within the HRIS
- Team member on HR Project teams to improve HR processes and HR systems
- Manage relationships with HR and business leaders to proactively identify and address issues and provide timely support
- Supports HR Team with terminations in a proactive and responsible manner (including but not limited to IT and payroll notices, system updates, etc)
- Completes audit reports for multiple HR functions such as benefits and payroll
- Runs all AA reports in preparation for annual AAP
- Provides HRIS support in regard to benefits including support during open enrollment and benefit reporting
- Acts as a liaison between departments and IT for other HR related software such as the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Expense Management System, Timesheet systems, and Learning Management System (LMS)
- Partners with Benefits Manager to provide technical support for benefit file feeds feeding from the HRIS
- Liaison for Power Automate creation and update for HR related workflows and forms
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred
- 2+ years experience working heavily in HRIS required
- Excellent MS Office and HRIS database skills including proficiency in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Ability to manage confidential data professionally
- Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen,
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within Human Resources and databases
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines; proven work ethic
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience querying data, data interpretation and report generation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and timely
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
