Overview:
**This is the perfect role for someone who has had military experience as a Supply Officer, KO, Supply Specialist or Quartermaster. **
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Military Contracting and Logistics professional to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing the procurement, contracting, and logistics operations for our military projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in military contracting, a comprehensive understanding of logistics, and the ability
to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
What you'll do:
1. Contract Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end process of military contracting, from solicitation to contract closure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
- Monitor contract performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and records.
2. Logistics Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to support military projects.
- Coordinate the transportation, distribution, and storage of materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.
- Ensure compliance with transportation and customs regulations.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to contracting and logistics activities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting military contracting and logistics.
4. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to maximize value for the organization.
5. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing military contracting and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export controls, and security protocols.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree .
- Proven experience in military contracting and logistics, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior role.
- In-depth knowledge of government contracting processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
