Hourly Pay: $26.00 - $36.00/hour (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift
As an Accountant, you will report to the Controller and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. You will reconcile and maintain fixed asset schedules, prepare journal entries, and assist with the month-end close process. Your role will also involve preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and processing 1099 forms. You will analyze data related to manufacturing processes, inventory management, and overhead expenses, providing insights for decision-making and cost control measures. Collaborating with various departments, you will help forecast expenses, monitor budget variances, and develop cost allocation methodologies. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements and work with auditors during financial audits. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
- Attention to detail and strong data entry skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Proficient in Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a corporate environment
- Experience with financial accounting software (Sage, Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong process improvement skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
