Description

The Columbus Crew is seeking a Manager, Event Operations, that will be responsible for managing the planning, organization, and execution of Special Events hosted at Historic Crew Stadium, Lower.com Field, and OhioHealth Performance Center.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary event manager and responsible for all logistical elements for Special Events (Concerts and Festivals, Private Events, Community Events, etc)
    • Assist with the preparation and circulation of production notes, event briefings, and staff deployments.
    • Collaborate with clients, vendors, internal departments and partners to ensure expectations are exceeded throughout each event cycle.
    • Develop layouts and signage plans in collaboration with Guest Experience, Safety and Security, and Stadium Operations
    • Ensure safe environments for all constituents by reviewing venue setup plans w/ all internal departments
  • Assist in the management of Event Operations contracts and service agreements
  • Support the management and training of the Event Operations Team
  • Develop collaborative relationships with clients, tenants, and other third-party coordinators with a solutions-oriented mindset and high regard for providing exceptional customer service toward production of first-class events.
  • Develop and/or refine and implement event planning documents and materials to be used by internal and external stakeholders for preparation and execution of events.
  • Coordinate, prepare and conduct various pre-event planning and post-event recap meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of two (3) years' experience in event/facility operations and/or guest experience.
  • Experience coordinating events in a stadium or arena, including concerts and special events.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized
  • The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in high-stress, live event situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours.
