Lead Server

National Base Salary Rate: $13.00 - $16.00/hour

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Lead Server.

What will you be doing most days?

• Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service protocol
• Consistently hold a friendly, relaxing, and courteous demeanor that makes guests feel comfortable to ensure satisfaction
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests' choices and giving knowledgeable recommendations as necessary
• Keep the kitchen staff informed on times, updates, or any changes that need to be made to guests’ orders
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from the kitchen/bar and delivering accompaniments and condiments as needed
• Issue bills & collect payment; including room charges, credit card payments, or cash payments with the correct change returned
• Assist other servers as needed
• Ensure prompt, friendly service according to the restaurant guidelines
• Direct overall activities and performance of front of house employees on a shift-by-shift basis
• Promote an atmosphere of positive guest relations by handling guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain and inspect dining room area to ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization
• Oversee FOH daily staffing, ensuring that adequate staffing is maintained, and overtime minimized
• Perform checkouts of food servers, ensuring that all tickets are accounted for, all comps have been signed, and the proper amount of cash and all credit card vouchers are obtained
• Troubleshoot POS System glitches and/or outages

• You are familiar with taking orders from guests, serving food, clean-up and routine side-work, special event set up/service, and assistance with food preparation
• You must be able to work nights and weekends
• You are able to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time and can lift and maneuver heavy trays
• You have knowledge of basic Food & Beverage operations
• You have strong interpersonal relations and leadership abilities. Exemplifies a passionate "can do" attitude with natural leadership and motivational skills

Physical Requirements for this Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
