DUTIES
  • Design complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) and bipolar-complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (BiCMOS) analog and mixed-signal blocks for analog-to-digital converters, amplifiers, oscillators, phase-locked-loops (PLLs), references and pulse-width modulation (PWM) circuits for industrial, audio, power and embedded applications; perform transistor level circuit design, logic design, behavioral model coding & simulation of the integrated circuit (IC) design from transistor to system level; provide overall layout direction for the analog subsections of a chip; perform simulation of the IC from transistor level to systems level & lab validation
REQUIREMENTS
  • Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields with seven years of relevant experience. In all cases, experience must include 5 years of experience taking analog block designs from specification to architecture analysis to design schematic to layout; and 5 years of experience in lab bring-up, validation, and debug of silicon designs. In addition, the position requires knowledge of power conversion circuitry including DC-DC and LDO design sufficient to take DC-DC and LDO blocks from specification through to layout complete; knowledge of PLL and clocking circuitry sufficient to take PLL and clocking blocks from specification to layout complete; knowledge of behavioral modeling of analog blocks including Verilog A and Verilog AMS sufficient to create, evaluate, and debug behavioral models for all implemented blocks.
Subject to applicable requirements, Cirrus Logic employee benefits include group health insurance and Progyny fertility coverage, other voluntary insurance options and discounts, an Employee Assistance program (EAP), 401k matching, discretionary bonus and profit-sharing programs, discretionary stock option program, access to the on-site health clinic, and hybrid work arrangements.
