Rust Software Engineer

Navier AI is building 1000x faster simulations using a physics-ML solver. The model is trained on massive amounts of high-quality simulations and fine-tuned on experimental data. Their fast CFD platform enables engineers to quickly explore design spaces and perform analysis-in-the-loop design optimization, lowering the barrier to entry for aerospace and mechanical engineers to create high-performance designs. The company is backed by Y Combinator and has founders with experience at SpaceX, Aurora Innovation, Tesla, Astranis, General Atomics, and Anzu Partners.

Navier AI uses Physics-ML to create 1000x faster Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing and experimenting with novel ML models for physics simulations
2. Working on model architectures, learning rate schedules, or loss functions
3. Building the systems and frameworks that power the visualizations and UX for our simulations
4. Contributing to the core simulation visualizer and interfaces in Rust
5. Working on modern Rust-based web and GUI development
6. Building robust data pipelines
7. Working on cloud infrastructure on AWS
8. Writing clean and scalable Python code
9. Contributing to full-stack development

Qualifications:

• Experience with transformer architectures
• Expertise in deep learning for scientific computing
• Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries
• Familiarity with Rust GUI/Graphics Frameworks
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Python-based data pipelines
• Familiarity with full-stack development
• Strong experience with cloud services
• An ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to new challenges
• Comfortable with version control (Git) and software development best practices
