Our client in Covington is looking for a Network Administrator / Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team!
Duties & Responsibilities:
(Network Administrator / Cybersecurity Engineer)
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for Exchange and M365 email systems. Monitor and perform routine database backups, recovery, and optimization tasks. Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot 3CX, VoIP PBX digital phone systems.? Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of infrastructure systems. Work on and resolve escalated Helpdesk Tickets related to Computer or Networking issues. Performs research and develops solutions for
any reoccurring
hardware and software issues. Management of firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking equipment Manage and maintain the organization's servers (physical and virtual), ensuring uptime and availability. Administration of Active Directory, including user and group management, permissions, and security Assist with research, hardware procurement, installation, and configuration. Install, upgrade, and maintain software, including operating systems, business applications, and system utilities. Maintain endpoint security (antivirus, antimalware, patching), virus and malware removal. Implement and enforce security policies, including monitoring network access, managing security protocols, and ensuring the organization meets industry compliance requirements. Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans for network systems. Ensure that backup systems and procedures are in place to minimize downtime in case of network failures. Continuously monitor network performance to ensure the smooth operation of LAN, WAN, and other network systems. Use network monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues before they impact business operations. Create and maintain detailed documentation on configurations, changes, and troubleshooting for all systems. Required Qualifications: ( Network Administrator / Cybersecurity Engineer ):
7+ years of experience with IT Operations, Cybersecurity or Systems Administration (or equivalent experience) Advanced Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 deployments. Administration of Microsoft Windows Server (2012 - 2022) Operating Systems Experience with configuring, deployment and administration of VMware Vsphere/Vcenter and virtual architecture. Management of enterprise business networks, VLAN subnetting, Firewalls and networks Veeam backup and DR Desired Skills and experience: ( Network Administrator / Cybersecurity Engineer )
Advanced Problem-Solving skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and software issues. Security Knowledge: Experience with all aspects of ISO, NIST and HIPAA standards, network security principles and best practices. Cybersecurity, pen-testing, firewall protections, intrusion prevention, Syslog analysis, SIEM, ability to utilize SentinelOne security tools and XDR. Advanced experience with VLAN routing/Dell switches/Cisco switches Microsoft Azure/Entra/Identity systems management, security, and automation NAT/PAT, access rules and web content filters, whitelists, geo-ip filters Administration of Linux servers, security, package updates, supporting interoperability with Windows Experience with Certificate renewal, installations, data encryption and/or Bitlocker Workstation imaging, WIM, department level custom OS deployments, PXE server/deployment IT Purchasing, business/enterprise pricing models, customization and ordering Programming and scripting experience, PowerShell scripting, basic Python/Javascript and Web 2.0 Development Amazon AWS/Cloud hosting, elastic computing and pricing optimization, security, and maintenance Enterprise Networking, best practice topology, diagram creation, Network cabling, testing/replacement, fiber qualification iSeries Management, security, Interoperability with Windows, Unified backup systems & monitoring Experience with Emergency Operations/Disaster Recovery plans, EMOP procedure maintenance and updates. Sharepoint configuration/sites & hubs and Data migration 3CX phone system, QoS improvements, RPS and STUN server setup, automatic phone provisioning DataCenters/VMware/Hyper-V/Virtual networking Advanced Experience with implementing and managing SMB firewalls, VPNs, routers, and servers. Project Management: Ability to manage network projects from planning to implementation. Strong organizational and time management skills Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with owners, managers, IT support teams, vendors, and other departments successfully.
