CAD Manager
to join our Northern California practice. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring the ability to commute to one of our Northern California office locations as needed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting or leading CAD production and coordinating tasks within an Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design and construction drawings for transportation projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate day-to-day CAD production across multiple projects Lead team of entry-level CAD designers and support delivery of quality drawing deliverables Create and update plans, general arrangement drawings, and single line diagrams Correctly apply drawing titles and drawing numbers from database/spreadsheets Interpret and accurately implement redlines and markups from engineers in a fast-paced environment Support plotting and package set compilation for digital delivery Ensure compliance with client project CAD standards, Setup title blocks, attach xrefs, modify layers and properties, edit notes and title block information accurately. Apply revisions to project drawings and calculations based on team feedback and approved changes. Maintain project documentation records, including marked ups and QA/QC documents Collaborate with project manager and engineers to ensure the timely delivery of the drawing package. Support digital delivery projects using ACC, SharePoint, Morta, or ProjectWise. Coordinate CAD standards and guidelines. Work out of our client's offices or 3Vi locations, as needed. Key Candidate Attributes: Attention to detail, excellent verbal, and written communication skills. Team-oriented with strong leadership capabilities. Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Minimum Qualifications: AS Degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or a similar program. Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, InRoads, OpenRail, and/or MicroStation. Min. 7-10 years of prior CAD experience on a multi-disciplinary project, railroad or highways is required. Experience with BIM/Revit is a plus.
