DevOps/OpenSearch Engineer

3 primary items we are looking for:
1) OpenSearch + LogStash experience
2) DevOps Background (+ Infrastructure as Code)
3) AWS experience
- **Team is currently in Splunk and they are migrating to OpenSearch
- This person will come from a DevOps background ideally with a focus in Observability/Monitoring
o Must have experience with CI/CD tools
- Must have basic design/deployment experience with OpenSearch (2+ year minimum)
- Must have experience with LogStash (2+ year minimum)
- Must have experience managing and developing Data Pipelines (ETL is common term)
- Must have AWS
- Must have Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Must have experience managing Git repositories
- Looking for a mid-senior level person. This person is going to be an individual contributor and must be able to take direction. NOT looking for a design/thought leader here.
Pay Rate Range: $50/hr - $100/hr based on previous experience

Nice If You Have: Experience designing, implementing, and operating a secure multi-tenant centralized log ingestion pattern and Elastic and OpenSearch Cluster in AWS Experience designing and implementing application and security log analysis dashboards Experience designing and implementing governance and release management process for the promotion of AWS OpenSearch dashboards to Production environments Experience with monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog, or CloudWatch Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC, and working in an Agile development environment Experience with serverless computing and container orchestration technologies, including AWS Lambda and Amazon ECS or EKS Cluster Knowledge of cryptography protocols and standards, including TLS, mTLS, hashing algorithms, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Knowledge of federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, STIG, and FedRAMP Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, AWS services, and building scalable infrastructure Ability to adhere to agency process and security standards when building infrastructure in AWS and troubleshooting complex technical issues
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
