Looking to integrate their Python code and Splunk APIs within new security tools and public cloud environment (AWS).
Mission:
Integrate current Python code with existing frameworks into new security tools and cloud services like AWS.
Day to Day: Development/Feature Lead will drop API documentation, and the resource will be expected to integrate Python code (on existing Redhat framework) into various security tools to minimize process disruptions and server malfunctions. Contractor will support front line security teams with building and maintaining python code on existing Linux servers. Projects can include integrations between existing off the shelf products, new web interfaces to provide tools to our team, as well as integrations with cloud and CDN security products. A successful hire will have developed active projects in python , ideally in support of a information security team and controls. Must haves:
7+ years' experience working as a Senior Python Developer Application Programming/Development experience designing, developing, and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed transactional applications. Experience with cyber security related workflows/solutions/implementation Experience with Splunk and programmatically calling their API's. Deep knowledge of Python and Django Framework Knowledge of Angular, ES6/HTML5/CSS3 Version control systems such as Git and Horizon Experience working in Agile development process and good understanding of various phases of Software Development Lifecycle Relational database experience, such as MySQL and Postgres, and proven abilities in SQL is required. Must be aware of SQL Objects, query optimization, and join conditions. Responsibilities :
Able to effectively capture and document customer requirements. Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement. Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assist team with resolving technical issues. Design/develop/modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solutions. Provide support for existing code as well as develop new integrations. Develop documentation on supporting the code as well as for end users. Mandatory Skills: Application Programming/Development experience designing, developing, and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed transactional applications.
