The DevOps Engineer is an integral part of the DevOps team, responsible for supporting the development, deployment, and operation of our software applications and infrastructure. This role will focus on maintaining and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines, automating repetitive tasks, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of code. A career with purpose. A career built on making dreams come true. Identify pain points and productivity barriers in the software development lifecycle and determine ways to resolve them. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various applications and services to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality. Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Bicep. Collaborate closely with development, operations, quality assurance, and security teams to understand current processes and make recommendations for improvement. Ensure system security, scalability, and reliability through effective monitoring and alerting solutions. Develop and continuously improve automation solutions to enable teams to build and deploy code efficiently and consistently. Build automated testing to reduce manual effort and improve product quality. Monitor and manage application performance and service quality, including initial troubleshooting, root cause identification, and issue resolution. Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and systems. Assist in evaluating and integrating new tools and technologies to improve the DevOps workflow. Promote and facilitate the adoption of DevOps principles and culture across the software engineering organization. Deal effectively with a wide range of vendors and service providers. Facilitate productive meetings and promote effective communication between Security Engineering & Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and other departments and business units. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in DevOps. Technical Skills: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions. Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Strong automation scripting skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience with agile development and DevOps principles.
Soft Skills: Strong collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility, adaptability, and a desire to learn new languages and technologies.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
