Job Summary: The Proposal Writer is responsible for identifying, researching, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) to secure new business opportunities for the company. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and subject matter experts to develop high-quality, persuasive proposals that meet client requirements. The Proposal Writer will manage the proposal process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and that the proposals align with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- RFP Identification: Research and identify relevant RFPs, RFIs, and other bid opportunities that align with the companys services and capabilities.
- Proposal Writing: Create clear, concise, and compelling proposal content tailored to each clients needs, ensuring compliance with all RFP requirements.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with business development, sales, legal, finance, and other departments to gather necessary information for proposal submissions.
- Project Management: Manage the proposal development process, including setting deadlines, tracking progress, and coordinating contributions from different teams.
- Customization: Tailor standard proposal content to address specific client requirements, ensuring each proposal is unique and targeted.
- Editing & Proofreading: Review and revise proposals for clarity, grammar, consistency, and alignment with company standards.
- Compliance: Ensure all proposals meet client requirements, including formatting, technical specifications, and submission guidelines.
- Competitive Analysis: Research competitors and market trends to enhance the quality and competitiveness of proposals.
- Presentation Preparation: Assist in the creation of proposal-related presentations and other supporting materials for client pitches.
- Post-Submission: Track submitted proposals and follow up on client feedback, ensuring continuous improvement in future submissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in proposal writing, business development, or a related role.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology, regulations, and best practices relevant to the company's services.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience writing proposals in the staffing industry.
- Understanding of RFP and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proposal tracking software.
