Our client, one of the worlds largest Japanese lumber manufacturers, is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join their team in Portland, OR! The right candidate will have a proven track record in SEO, PPC, and digital marketing, with experience in data-driven campaign management. This is an onsite contract role requiring availability 5 days a week with the potential to convert full-time. Ready to make an impact? Lets connect!

You Will:

  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits to optimize website performance, including visitor metrics, keywords, and site health
  • Develop strategies to improve keyword rankings, enhance UX/UI, and drive organic traffic through optimized site structure and meta tags
  • Align SEO strategies with content teams, guiding keyword research and creating targeted blog posts, landing pages, and product descriptions
  • Manage backlink strategies and internal linking to boost domain authority and improve crawler visibility
  • Plan and execute PPC campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and social media, optimizing targeting and budgets to maximize ROI
  • Perform A/B testing on ads and landing pages to increase conversions and campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop high-quality content that aligns with SEO and PPC goals
  • Regularly report on key metrics like organic traffic, keyword rankings, and campaign results using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush
  • Stay updated on industry trends, search engine algorithms, and PPC platform changes to maintain competitive strategies
  • Monitor user behavior and identify optimization opportunities to improve overall website performance and engagement

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO and PPC campaign management
  • Familiarity with Google Ads, Search Console, Google Analytics, WordPress, and keyword tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz)
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with UX/UI optimization for websites
  • A comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices and site optimization
  • Basic Graphic Design skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a small, dynamic team
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for the value of beautiful and sustainable wood products, and authentic long-term interest in both wood and construction technology
  • Authentic ethical interest in building materials with low carbon footprint, low maintenance needs, and other sustainable sales points
  • Experience in Japan or familiarity with Japanese culture (a huge plus!)
