Job Type Full-timeDescriptionType: Regular, Full-TimeStatus: Non-ExemptReports To: Education Outreach ManagerSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (with flexibility into evening or weekends depending on events)Pay Range: $21 - $29.40/hour (DOE)Health (Employee Only, 2 options $50 a month, employer paid dental & Vision)403b with Company MatchPTO/Sick up to 19 days accrued per year and 11 Paid Holidays annuallySUMMARY: Reporting to the Education Outreach Manager, this position entails providing educational sessions and distributing domestic violence (DV) collateral materials to social service agencies, community groups, hospitals, clinics, and other identified stakeholders throughout Fresno County. This position will be stationed directly within the MMC Fresno Site, and focus will be to that of the areas of Fresno County.The Marjaree Mason Center is 24/7 operation and all employees, at any point of time, may be asked to perform other work duties from those normally assigned such as answering the hotline or working in the shelter.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESConducts Domestic Violence education and outreach activities throughout Fresno County, including, CBO's, city and county social service offices, private businesses, medical facilities, and local law enforcement offices/stations on DV issues and identifiers;Distributes outreach materials, informational brochures, as well as maintain active communication with local clinics/social service agencies, Multi-Agency Access Programs (MAPS), emergency service locations, hospitals, and other identified agencies throughout Fresno County;Collaborates and trains social service providers on Domestic Violence and the appropriate Marjaree Mason Center referral process, creating strong referral processes, including training regarding MMC's DV Coordinated Entry system/process;Oversees the development of partnering collaborations which can include working closer with local Law Enforcement to refine response and referral processes, identifying resources centers and social service provider facilities where support groups and workshops can be offered, and meet with agencies to discuss Marjaree Mason Center services;Tracks outreach efforts and resources development progress;Attends community meetings, collaboratives, roundtables, and discussions. Facilitates groups/workshops (i.e. Safe Group, Parenting, Healthy Lifestyles), which can include implementation of groups/workshops at alternative sites and/or via virtual platform;Uses personal vehicle to travel to locations within Fresno County;Presents information using a variety of techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, group discussions, videos, or lectures;Must participate in agency and department meetings as scheduled and assigned;Continuous collaboration with internal MMC programs/departments, in order to continue enhancing overall skills and knowledge surrounding MMC programs;Streamlines those seeking services appropriately through the Crisis Response Team and/or directly within stationed work/office site;Participates in 1:1 meeting with Manager in order to properly communicate relevant information pertaining to staff development, goal setting, and programmatic updates;Participates in agency coordination, training, and service enhancement activities;Works with Supervisory and Management staff to achieve programmatic expectations, implementation, and development to meet/maintain compliance with grant requirements;Completes and maintains required documentation current for agency and grant needs utilizing Apricot database;Administer surveys to group/workshop attendees to gauge satisfaction, effectiveness, and engagementRegular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions;Provides program recommendations to supervisor as needed, including continuous evaluation of outreach efforts, in order to continue enhancing services, and determining where outreach services need to be;Continuous evaluation of outreach services and overall program impact;Other duties as assigned.The above job description and duties is meant to describe the general nature and level of work performed; it is not intended as an exhaustive list of all duties, and responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Must have an Associate's degree in Social Services, Victimology, Criminology, or closely related field.One-year experience facilitating presentations to groups.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Bilingual in Hmong, Spanish, or Punjabi is a plus.Ability to work evening and weekends.Ability to create and facilitate presentation in front of groups.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to communicate effectively with clients, donors, volunteers, or employees of agency.Ability to effectively communicate in English.Ability to adapt to the environment, to solve practical problems, to deal with a variety of multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and to make independent decisions within scope of responsibility.Ability to multi-task.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to work with sensitivity and without discrimination towards peoples of diverse cultures, races/ethnicities, socio/economic positions, ages, religions, genders, physical/mental challenges/disabilities, and sexual orientations.Ability to understand the needs of those impacted by domestic violence, and a willingness to address their concerns with action designed to create change.Sensitivity to issues pertaining to domestic violence, particularly security issues.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Possession of a valid California driver's license and proof of liability insurance on personal auto.
