Part-time Custodian - New Bedford, MA
Monroe Staffing is a division of Staffing 360 Solutions. We are a leading staffing firm in the U.S. in the light industrial sector. We currently have an opening for a Part-time Custodian for a local electronics and circuit board manufacturer located in New Bedford, MA. The ideal candidate will be expected to remain flexible with duties as custodial needs may change throughout the shift. The Custodian will consistently clean the production floor area, sanitize and maintain clean office spaces, cafeteria, and lounge area while monitoring the level of supplies across the facility. Location: New Bedford, MADays:Monday - Friday (Part-time)Hours:1:00 PM-5:00 PM or 2:00 PM-6:00 PMPay Rate: $15.00 per hour Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning office areas and the production floor areas, including cleaning floors, emptying all trash daily, and replacing items such as paper towels and soap. The chosen candidate will also clean all surface areas of employee cafeteria, utility rooms, restrooms, offices, and the production floor, including refrigerator and all shelves and surfaces.
Responsibilities of Custodian:

• Clean the production floor, restrooms, and office spaces to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Clean all items such as sinks and floors, and empties trash daily.
• Sweeps, mops, dusts, and cleans windows as necessary.
• Replaces and refills soap dispensers and paper products in restrooms and cleans office and production areas.
• Regularly dusts and cleans all furniture, such as tables and chairs in offices, conference rooms, and production areas.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, and chairs on a rotating basis as well as vacuum and perform other floor cleaning as necessary.
• Clean all surface areas of restrooms and cafeteria, including refrigerator and all shelves and surfaces.
• Empties trash in production areas, offices, and all common areas daily.
• Performs all seasonal cleaning.
• Sanitizes doorknobs and commonly touched surfaces.
• Maintain assigned areas in a high-level of cleanliness and ensure areas are organized and presentable.

Qualifications/Requirements for Custodian:

• Previous custodial or maintenance experience is very helpful.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and safe handling.
• Proven reliability in previous employment history.
• Speaking and reading English fluently is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own transportation is required.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required on all candidates.
