Job Title: HR Coordinator


Job Summary: The HR Coordinator will support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support. This role involves managing employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies, assisting in benefits administration, and coordinating HR activities to enhance organizational efficiency. Additionally, the coordinator will support multiple projects, events, and initiatives for the Human Resources Team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate and support new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
  • Manage employee records and maintain HR databases for accurate tracking of personnel information.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Address employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
  • Assist in organizing training programs, employee events, and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and company policies.
  • Maintain and update HR filing systems and employee documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to HR leadership, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
  • Prepares correspondence, maintains files, schedules meetings, prepares and issues minutes of meetings, and prepares special projects as assigned.
  • Create presentations, spreadsheets, fliers, documents, etc.
  • Provide the Human Resources Team with needed support for meetings, internal committees, and other HR initiatives.
  • Support management on EHS action items as assigned.
  • Coordinate site visits and training events, ensuring security and safety guidelines are communicated and followed.
  • Compile data from HRIS on various items such as attendance, time off balances, time-to-fill, as well as any other HR data requests.
  • Assist with coordinating employee monthly safety training enrollment, report compliance, and coordinate safety incentive programs.
  • Respond to requests from internal customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain and distribute department mail.
  • Maintain documents and required record keeping for all areas of HR.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HR coordination or administrative support.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and labor laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Familiar with office management concepts, practices & procedures.
  • Intermediate proficiency in software systems (G-Suite, Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer-focused and multi-functional team environment.
  • Strong computer skills are required as well as the ability to adapt to new systems effectively.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Independent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
