position.
The
Senior Admission Counselor & Financial Aid Specialist
represents St. Catherine University to prospective College for Women students and their families. This role is responsible for achieving the University's enrollment goals by ensuring the desired quantity and quality of undergraduate College for Women students enroll each year. Key duties include recruiting students from an assigned territory, guiding them through the admission and financial aid processes, reviewing applications and making admission decisions, packaging aid for new students and completing verification, and collaborating with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities: Counsel and advise prospective students and their families about admission to the College for Women and their Financial Aid award. Includes working with both first year and transfer students. Prepare financial aid awards and revisions for new CFW students (first year and transfer) and respond to inquiries from students and families regarding their awards, revisions and questions pertaining to costs and aid. Complete verification on CFW student files. Manage geographic territory including visiting high schools, attending college fairs, making phone calls to inquiries and applicants. The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree One (1) year of experience in admission, college advising, college counseling, financial aid, financial literacy, or financial education. This could also include experience in complex sales. Experience interacting respectfully and helpfully with a diverse population of students and parents. Current driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
