Job Title: Estimator/Detailer
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator/Detailer to join our team within the structural steel fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in structural steel detailing and a strong understanding of AISC standards. Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed steel fabrication drawings, including shop and erection drawings. Perform accurate material take-offs and measurements. Assist in developing estimates and bids for steel projects. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure project specifications are met. Review project plans and specifications to identify potential issues or areas for improvement. Maintain and organize detailed project records and documentation. Ensure all work is in compliance with AISC standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Experience in structural steel detailing. Strong knowledge of AISC standards. Basic or advanced skills in estimating, including take-offs, estimates, and bids. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in the structural steel fabrication industry. Proficiency in estimating software or related tools. Familiarity with project management systems.
