Job Title: CNC Machinists- 1st & 2nd shifts available
Quantity = 2 openings (See Note 1)
Location: Summit, NJ
Compensation:Pay Rate Range of $30 - $45 per hr. + OT 1.5X + $5 for 2nd shift differential
Relocation: Company offers a lump Sum amount for relocation assistance of around $2.5K - $5k

This is a privately owned growing company in business for 70+ years. They have 400+ people in their plant, many of them with stable, long-term 40+ years of employment. There is a Machine Shop in the plant.
The Company produces precision flow control components like solenoid valves, Pressure Vessels, Regulators using high precision machining (Mills & Lathes) in a Union Shop for mission critical applications in the Aerospace and Aviation industries.
Note 1: There are 2 positions – 1 in 1st shift = 6am – 2:30pm, and 1 in 2nd Shift = 2:00pm – 10:30pm.
Note 2: The client also needs 2 additional Machinists for manual machine operation (not CNC).
Job Summary:
Under minimum supervision working from blueprints, sketches written and/or verbal instructions, sets up and performs the most diversified and complex progressive machining, fitting and assembly operations.
Determines proper tooling and sequence of operations, and skillfully uses all machinists’ hand tools and machine shop measuring equipment in order to produce work to specifications.
Must be able to make complicated set-ups and operate available machine tools; determine operational sequences, proper jigs, fixtures and design of tool to be used.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to make complicated set-ups and operate available machine tools; determine operational sequences, proper jigs, fixtures and design of tools to be used. Must be able to skillfully use all machinist’s hand tools and measuring instruments. Must be familiar with the machining of most materials. Must be able to use advanced shop math, including trigonometry. May be required to assign work to lower-level machinists. Moves parts to and from the work area.
Candidate Must Have:
High School Diploma or Apprenticeship program or 4 years of on the job 5+ years’ experience as a CNC machinist. Ability to operate standard/specialized equipment to produce prototype/production parts Ability to perform standard shop computations, using technical math, geometry and trigonometry. In-depth knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances – GD&T Candidate must have “Team” like mentality and be willing to work with a group Proficient use of set up and operation of Mills / Lathes Proficient use of tool and surface grinders Proficient use of all shop inspection equipment, including but not limited to, CMM, comparator, digital height gages, micrometers, etc.
Candidate Nice to Have:
Experience in the Aerospace Industry
