Job Title - Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database Administrator
Location - Remote, Downey, CA, 90242
Description -
Skills Required Possesses knowledge and experience in analysis and development of conceptual and detail designs for database systems in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); Possesses effective communication skills to collaborate with customer departments across Los Angeles County and project stakeholders; Ability to develop detailed project documents with project requirements and timelines; Ability to develop and share detailed technical knowledge and documentation to build, support, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle database systems in OCI; Skilled in Oracle database performance tuning in OCI; Skilled in developing automation scripts for routine database maintenance jobs using tools such as Unix Shell scripting, Ansible, and Jenkins; Committed to provide knowledge transfer to database support staff on processes and procedures developed. Experience Required Eight (8) or more years in the following: -Systems development, analysis, Oracle database system management, and support; Three (3) or more years in the following: -Recent Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) work experience; -Oracle database upgrades from versions 12c to 19c and above; -Building and configuring new Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); -Planning, deploying, managing Oracle Security Patches for databases in OCI; -Configurations and deployments of Oracle Grid architectures; -Migration of Oracle database systems from on-premise Linux, Unix to OCI; -Oracle replication methods such as Data Guard; -Development of automation scripts using Shell scripting, Python, CLI, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.; -Experience with DevOps tool; -Experience designing Oracle database backups, restores, disaster recovery processes; -Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager; -Configurations and management of Oracle RAC; -Development of process documentations for knowledge transfers to support staff. Education Required Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certifications Additional Information A hybrid telework option will be determined on case-by-case basis. Candidate will need to provide their own computing device with video capability to securely connect to the county network.
