About the Role
We are looking for research scientists and research engineers to advance the capabilities of large language and multimodal models.
This work includes the following areas:
- Multimodal product oriented research: we are responsible for the model behind ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode
- Building advanced video + speech-to-speech model capabilities.
- Distilling to smaller models with state-of-the-art multimodal capabilities.
- Enabling extensive tool uses in video speech to speech model.
- Improving audio, video and cross-modality intelligence.
- Improving multimodal reasoning including temporal and spatial reasoning.
- Conducting research to identify new multimodal RL methods.
- Multilingual research: Advance intelligence and cultural relevance for non-English languages.
- Reinforcement finetuning: our team makes the full RL pipeline that trained o1 available to our customers to build their own expert reasoning models in their domain.
- Have a deep understanding of machine learning.
- Possess working knowledge and experience in tuning large language and multimodal models and building evaluations.
- Are willing to dive into large ML codebases to debug issues.
- Thrive in dynamic and technically complex environments.
- Have a track record of delivering innovative, out-of-the-box solutions to address real-world constraints.
- Are passionate and self-driven.
