We are seeking an experienced engineering manager with a background in large scale software development and delivery in hyper-scale environments. Apple is seeking an extraordinary individual to lead a team supporting and developing platform services for mission critical security capabilities. This role will work closely with our engineering teams and with partner teams to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of product objectives. The successful candidate will have a passion for for technical excellence and team collaboration with a heavy focus on automation, scalability, and reliability for all layers of the stack. This role will work closely with developers and users of our platforms to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of product objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years of management experience leading engineering teams
Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Swift, TypeScript, Python, and/or Golang
Proven track record of shipping high quality services and products
Strong written and verbal communication: actively listens and communicates clearly and proactively, adapting content and style with their audience; e.g., junior engineers, senior staff, and partner teams

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one one or more frontend frameworks such as React, SwiftUI, Vue, Svelte, or Angular
Passion for high-quality code, tests, CI/CD, documentation, and production services
Experience leveraging ORMs to interact with databases efficiently
Experience developing REST/GraphQL/gRPC/tRPC APIs
Experience successfully adapting and applying Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Experience working with cloud compute environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
Ability to cultivate an environment that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and excellence
Thrives in fast-paced environment and adopts a learning mindset; loves learning new technologies
Track record of driving improvements in code quality, performance, etc
Ability to work under pressure and successfully manage difficult situations in a dynamic work environment

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
