HVAC Controls Technician

Our client, a leader in the HVAC industry, is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to join their team. As an HVAC Controls Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting the overall operational efficiency of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: HVAC Controls Technician

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Pay Range: Competitive salary based on experience

What's the Job?

• Install heating and air-conditioning equipment, providing diagnostics or repair services on climate control systems.
• Operate, maintain, repair, and replace HVAC equipment including air handling units, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers.
• Maintain and repair components in plumbing systems, such as pumps, valves, and filtration equipment.
• Assist with the development of a preventative maintenance program and respond to building maintenance emergencies.
• Attend training sessions to stay current with job duties and industry standards.

What's Needed?

• Associate degree or equivalent in HVAC field or 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/refrigeration equipment maintenance.
• Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification from the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Valid driver's license at the time of appointment and throughout employment.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and related controls.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under general supervision.
