Seasonal Intern/AIT Job at TurfNet in Davis

Working with the Director of Golf Courses & Grounds, Superintendents & Assistants, we are excited to welcome interns & AITs for the fall/winter/spring of 2024/2025 in which we will have our Hanse/Wagner designed West Course open, Davis/Fazio Course open, along with 7-hole Wee Course, Himalayas putting green & 55-acre driving range. We are also in the clearing & shaping phase of the Kyle Phillips designed North Course.

Apogee Club is a passion project presented by two highly successful businessmen, Mr. Michael Pascussi & Mr. Stephen Ross. Apogee is currently in the construction phase with plans to construct three, 18-hole golf courses, two short courses, a Himalayas-style putting green & two driving ranges over 1200 acres. The West Course, designed by Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner opened in December of 2023. The Fazio/Davis course recently opened along with the main driving range that encompasses over 55 acres, has 360 degrees of tee space, 7 acres of short game area & will be regarded as one of the finest practice facilities in the country. All courses have been blanketed with TifTuf turf & TifEagle greens. Rainbird IC irrigation will be utilized on all courses along with John Deere equipment. The West Course Turf Care Facility is now fully operational & construction of the East Turf Care Facility has begun with an opening date of late summer 2025. The "Par 4" course will also break ground in the spring of 2025 & will consist of 60 acres & 12 holes. The club is also in the process of constructing 2 clubhouses, 50+ cottages, a spa/fitness center & will also have fishing, tennis, walking trails & pickleball.

We are looking for interns/AITs to assist & provide input to all levels of the operation. If you want to experience all levels of golf course maintenance, from construction to grow-in to high-level maintenance, you'd be hard pressed to find a property in the country where you could experience these phases all in the same week.

Minimum Requirements: Positive attitude, ready to learn & experience all phases of golf course construction & maintenance.
