Key accountabilities

  • Manage the Yard and/or Warehouse of a project, to enable the delivery of material and equipment in optimal conditions: quantity and quality.
  • The Yard &/or Warehouse Manager is in charge of defining the sizing and organisation of the yard, warehouse, storage areas, parking areas, and facilities to deliver the material and equipment for installation/construction activities in conformity with the Basic and Detail Designs, installation/construction procedures, QA/QC system, contractual and local regulation rules, Time Schedule, site access scenario, and construction budget.
  • Participate in the Construction/Installation core team meeting and report – weekly/monthly -on progress and Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) KPI.
  • Responsible for the reception and storage of installation/construction materials and equipment, ensuring conformity with technical and contractual documents.
  • Prepare materials (pre-assembly) and equipment in areas of preparation to facilitate installation/construction activities on-site, ensuring all key activities are properly controlled.
  • Organize the delivery of materials and equipment on-site with the support of the logistic team (charging the trucks &/or railway plants/trains).
  • Prepare all documentation and report any non-conformity to engineering, procurement teams, and construction/installation managers.
  • Manage stock of equipment, tools, consumables, and personnel protective equipment for installation/construction teams.
  • Ensure control of equipment and tools certification if required.
  • Recruit and manage the team (Warehouse keeper, workers, drivers, and logistic teams) in terms of assessment, skills, training, team spirit, etc.
  • Ensure the team applies the waste policy on all yard areas (storage, warehouse, etc.).
  • Responsible for team and subcontractor works in compliance with Alstom HSE and local rules.
  • Manage the budget and implement the yard area (storage, warehouse, etc.) Quality Plan & HSE Plan.

Delivery

  • Weekly progress report + 3-week schedule
  • Monthly cost report
  • Preparation of Work Method Statements for installation/construction activities including the template of the Quality Control Inspection Form.
  • Weekly quality report based on Non-Conformities Reports (NCR) analysis and Quality Control reports.
  • Weekly hourly report of preparation and logistics teams.
  • Follow-up and analysis of equipment and tools (Maintenance, certification, etc.) and materials consumption.

He/she must be based on-shore, on-site, typically in the Project Leading Unit.

Performance measurements

  • Level of availability of installation/construction material and equipment.
  • Client complaints follow-up (non-conformity forms).
  • Costs (QC, Cost of Non-Quality, etc.).

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor/Master degree in Supply Chain & Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

An experience in a similar position in an industrial company is mandatory.

Skills

Leadership and good communication skills in French and English.
