Packaging and Warehouse Manager Job at Manhattan Project Beer Co in Dallas

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Packaging Manager to oversee all aspects of the packaging and warehouse operations at our brewery. This critical role ensures that our beer is packaged efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, maintaining the integrity of our product from the brewery to our customers.

The Packaging and Warehouse Manager will lead a team of packaging and warehouse staff, coordinate daily operations, maintain equipment, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional products.

Responsibilities

Packaging Operations Management

- Oversee daily packaging operations, including canning, kegging, and other packaging formats, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency.

- Plan and execute production schedules to meet distribution and sales demands.

- Monitor packaging processes to ensure adherence to quality control standards and minimize product waste.

- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner to avoid production delays.

- Recruit, train, and manage packaging staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop team members’ skills.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.

Equipment Maintenance and Management

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of packaging equipment, coordinating with internal team, technicians, and external vendors as needed.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime.

- Evaluate and recommend new equipment or upgrades to improve efficiency and capacity.

- Identify opportunities to optimize packaging operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance productivity.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as brewing and quality control, to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in a packaging or production management role, preferably in the brewing or beverage industry.

- Strong knowledge of packaging equipment, processes, and quality control standards.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to beverage packaging.
