As the Senior Warehouse General Manager, SC Site Operations, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility and ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the site.
- Hire, develop, and promote a culture of employee engagement.
- Evaluate staff effectively, consulting with the HR team as needed.
- Ensure efficient utilization of all equipment and the coordination of maintenance needs.
- Maintain and model the 7S Workplace Organization standard; ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed.
- Ensure compliance with specified contract metrics; build customer relationships and meet or exceed service requirements.
- Maintain high standards of operational efficiency by developing and implementing strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
- Ensure quality management system procedures, process change initiatives, and other continuous improvement initiatives are implemented throughout functional groups to improve service quality.
- Focus on productivity, quality, and safety requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirements.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 5 years of leadership experience in Third-party Logistics (3PL).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree.
- Proven successful employee engagement and retention strategies with the ability to inspire and motivate the workforce.
- 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including 7 years of experience in 3PL management.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement experience.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a P&L.
- Solid problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills.
- Strong skills monitoring and enforcing safety measures and policies for internal team members and external vendors, including coaching to ensure a safe work environment.
