As a Process Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational processes of an organization to support business goals. You will evaluate the efficiency of workflow procedures, identifying inconsistencies, and revising processing techniques as needed to improve deliverables, maximizing productivity to achieve business goals.

You will be responsible for training new employees, sharing best practices, and ensuring team members are qualified to perform the work. As a Process Lead, you will motivate and provide guidance to team members, cultivating and reinforcing appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors, guided by Roche operating principles. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills and identify opportunities that would drive the business forward.

The Opportunity

Quality and Safety (20%)

  • Ensure safe and healthy processes, address and escalate hazards, and report safety incidents and near misses promptly.
  • Maintain the quality system, achieve quality objectives, and ensure audit readiness (OSHA, FAA, and FDA); represent the team during internal audits/inspections.
  • Ensure proper receipt, quarantine, storage, and disbursement of materials in compliance with FDA, OSHA, FAA, QSR, ISO, GMP, MEEs, and Roche policies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate team training (NCRs, OJT, Operating Procedures, and Manufacturing Work Instructions) and maintain over 95% training compliance.
  • Inventory accuracy and adherence to inventory control processes (TECO, Cycle counts, etc).
  • Assist with NCR investigations, corrective actions, document changes, and collaborate with other functions as needed; ensure compliance with governmental regulations (e.g., Import/Export, Customs, DOT, IATA) for the proper storage, handling, packing, and shipping of materials.

Production (40%)

  • Provide line support, including receiving, material handling, product building, bulk solution formulation, facilitating material availability, SAP transactions/confirmations, packet review, audit processes, resource allocation, and protocol/validations.
  • Ensure orderly material flow from the warehouse to offsite locations and customers, address non-routine issues, and interact with various departments on inventory control and order processing matters.
  • Support non-operations stakeholders (e.g., R&D/Development) with goods receipts, allocation, movements, shipments, investigations, and research initiatives.
  • Partner with the Buyer/Planner to provide key inputs into production planning and buying based on material availability and supply chain considerations.
  • Contribute to Supply Chain strategic initiatives including safety stock strategy, material flow, packaging and staging configurations, transportation studies, JIT inventory strategies, and write-off reductions, with Leader support.

Continuous Improvement (20%)

  • Ensure adherence to 6S, cycle times, and standard work; identify and implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives; troubleshoot problems, engage support functions, and assist in implementing preventative measures.
  • Facilitate and participate in Tier Meetings and staff meetings; collect data, populate and trend daily metrics (e.g., Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) to identify gaps and support operational excellence initiatives and improvements.

Teamwork and Collaboration (20%)

  • Proactively collaborate with peers in other shifts/functions to achieve daily targets, ensure successful onboarding of new employees and contractors, and participate in the interview process.
  • Provide feedback to the Leader on employee performance, including contribution, attendance, and quality, for performance management purposes. Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • You have an Associate’s Degree
  • You have 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in GMP environment
  • Preferred previous experience leading teams or projects
  • You have 2 years of experience operating power industrial vehicles preferred.

  • Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery; to work with pallet jacks (electrical or other) and ladders; to manipulate heavy equipment, tools and supplies; to concurrently manipulate multiple controls and machinery; and to wear and work in personnel protective equipment.
  • This is an essential position supporting the organizational goals requiring attendance on weekends, holidays and during emergency or exceptional conditions.
