Job Description

1. JOB PURPOSE

As an EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Manager, the recruit’s role will involve utilizing their expertise in implementation, configuration, and management of the EWM system within the organization successfully and in a sustainable manner.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. EWM System Implementation: Lead the implementation of the EWM system, including gathering business requirements, designing the system architecture, Functional Spec. Documents, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for successful deployment.
  2. Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize SAP EWM to align with business processes and requirements. Handle RF, PPF, CIF, Warehouse Monitor customizations, etc. Principles of report, screen, and form design, develop test data, and analyze problems.
  3. Team Leadership: Manage a team of functional and technical consultants responsible for EWM system implementation and support. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with technical, functional team members, and users.
  4. System Integration: Collaborate with other modules and systems, such as SAP MM, SD, PP to ensure seamless integration and data flow between EWM and other relevant systems.
  5. Maintenance and Support: Proactively monitor the EWM system to ensure optimal performance, resolve system issues, apply patches and updates, and perform system enhancements as needed. Provide support to end-users and address any EWM-related inquiries or problems.
  6. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse management processes and workflows by leveraging EWM functionalities and best practices. Suggest efficient practices to constructively support MSIL scenarios utilizing Cutting Edge Technology. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency enhancements, and cost savings.
  7. Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure proper understanding and utilization of the EWM system. Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and configuration documents.
  8. Vendor Management: Collaborate with EWM solution providers or consulting firms to ensure successful project delivery, manage contracts, and stay up-to-date with the latest EWM trends and technologies.
  9. Project Planning and Budgeting: Participate in project planning activities, define project timelines, allocate resources, and manage project budgets related to EWM implementation and maintenance.
  10. Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and senior management, to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment between business needs and EWM capabilities.

4. MAJOR CHALLENGES

  1. Adequate SAP Techno-Functional Knowledge to ensure Quality and Timelines adherence of Deliverables.
  2. Follow all design work and integration testing protocols, change control procedures, uses standards, procedures, and practices in performing required work. Analyze current business processes and make recommendations.
  3. Ensure knowledge transfer to functional analysts as necessary to increase their understanding and utilization of the SAP systems and applications.

5. DECISIONS

  1. Conduct pilot study of the new processes to check their validity and analyze possible impacts on business scenarios and throughput.
  2. Participate in project planning activities, define project timelines, allocate resources, and manage project budgets related to EWM implementation and maintenance.

Internal Clients

  1. End users.
  2. Project Leads and Administrators.
  3. Provide guidance and mentorship to functional and technical team members.

External Clients:

  1. Technical and Functional Team members for assessing solutions provided for accuracy, scalability, and robustness.

Educational Qualifications

  1. Qualifications:
  2. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field
  3. SAP Certified in EWM

Work Experience:

  1. At least 7-10 years’ experience in SAP EWM (Functional or Technical)
  2. Worked in at least 1 S4H Implementation Project
  3. In-depth Knowledge of SAP EWM Configuration, Master Data, and Integration with other SAP Modules
  4. Participate in requirements gathering discussions with clients and clearly document the business requirements and perform fit-gap analysis.
  5. Document and perform functional testing to ensure the accuracy, scalability, and robustness of the solution
  6. Provide training support to end users for SAP EWM.
