Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in Utility Construction since 1936, is hiring a Mechanic at our San Diego, CA office. The starting wage range for this position is $35.00 to $40.00 an hour depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Must have experience with commercial truck and trailer DOT and PM inspection and repair.
  2. Experience in Preventative Maintenance and repair of construction equipment including trucks, Backhoe, Trencher and Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch directional boring equipment is a definite plus.
  3. Experience with basic truck and trailer electrical diagnostics and repair is required.
  4. Experience with chassis and air brake knowledge and repair experience is required.
  5. Experience with repair and overhaul brakes, ignition systems, electrical systems, transmission, differentials, and hydraulic systems; inspect, repair, overhaul, and assemble automotive electrical equipment such as generators, distributors, magnetos, and starters.
  6. Welding and fabrication experience are also a plus.
  7. Ability to travel as required when needed.
  8. Valid driver's license with a clean record required and having one's own work tools are required for this position.
